Easter Celebration
Apr

10:00 AM10:00

Easter Celebration

1988 years ago, on a Sunday morning in ancient Palestine and in a guarded tomb outside the city of Jerusalem, Jesus rose from the dead. A man born in Bethlehem among shepherds, as a child raised as a refugee in Egypt, later apprenticing as a carpenter in the small town of Nazareth, in his early 30s he started a movement as a teacher, rabbi, and healer, was killed by Roman Authorities as a convicted criminal. He was dead. But on that Sunday morning, which we celebrate today, Jesus of Nazareth, walked out of the grave—alive.

Whether you know it or not, whether you day dream about this moment regularly, or even if you have never analyzed it or dwelt on this event much: Jesus is the main thing happening in your life. This event, and what you do with Jesus is the story of your life. Who he was, what he did, and what that means for the world, is, in many ways, the summation of your existence.

Join us to celebrate Christ is Risen and all its implications for our lives, our world, and our beliefs.

Stations of the Cross

From 11am-1pm on Friday, we'll have the stations of the cross available for people to come and go in the Samuslki's backyard. This is a powerful way to worship Jesus through beautiful artwork depicting the progression of his final days and moments. Accompanying the artwork is a digital guide to help you worship.

This is a great way to spend your lunch hour on that day or include your children of all ages.

Holy Week

Holy Week

We're now in the midst of Holy Week. This is a unique opportunity to step into the historical story of the renewal of all things through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. We do this by walking through the days, in the season, and in the pattern of Jesus week.

Here's a quick overview of what is going on within our body next week (details are also in the app).

  • Maundy Thursday - We'll send a personal formation guide and family guide for this day, which traditionally focuses on Jesus' last meal with his disciples and prayer in the garden.

  • Friday Mid-Day - Stations of the Cross at Samuslki's house.

  • Friday Evening - Tennebrae reflective gathering.

  • Sunday, April 9th - Easter Celebration at 10am

Genesis Q&A
Feb

7:30 PM19:30

Genesis Q&A

As we've gone through the first chapters of Genesis many people have had great questions about the Bible, Genesis, and God that go beyond the scope of what a sermon is and what we can do during our time on Sundays. We also want to create more opportunities to grow together and grow in love for the Bible, so we're trying a new thing: Q&A.

If you can't make it, we'll record and you can listen in later. Make sure to send questions in, too.

Equipping in Personal Formation
Jan
21
9:30 AM09:30

Equipping in Personal Formation

We often try to start our years with God as we start our years in our diet: full of drastic measures, grand gestures, and over commitments we’re not going to do. We also regularly feel guilty: “I don’t read my Bible enough”, “I don’t pray”. Lastly, we typically quarantine our personal formation or devotion to God into the realm of spiritual. We want to pave the way for a different approach that starts with our desires or hunger, that’s predicated on building momentum through small things, and that’s holistic (physical, mental, emotional).

So, join us for a morning of walk thing through how to make and keep personal formation plans. We’ll talk about:

  • Desire as the Launchpad

  • How our daily rhythms (accidental and intentional) shape us

  • Building Momentum through Small Consistent Intention

  • How to use the Personal Formation Tool
