Lent 2023

Lent is a season of preparation and repentance during which we anticipate the death (Good Friday) and resurrection (Easter Sunday) of Jesus. It is this very preparation and repentance – aimed at grasping the intense significance of the crucifixion – that gives us a deep and powerful longing for the resurrection, the joy of Easter. It is typically marked by fasting and reflection.

This year, Lent began on February 22nd and goes until April 8th. We’re encouraging everyone to pursue personal formation through this season with a hunger for joy in Christ through his suffering. We’re using a great weekly guide called “Every Moment Holy: Lent”. It’s available as a free as a digital download.

It was created by the same people who have produced the “Every Moment Holy” series and this guide will be very helpful for families and individuals. Each week you’re given a reading, Scripture, and reflections.
