As we walk through the book of Romans this year, we want to encourage each person in our church to read through this book thoughtfully and prayerfully with our minds open to being transformed and our hearts available to be moved.
This five day “devotional” helps create a moment of pause and reflection with God while you consider your life within the church as you listen to the Spirit and ask: “What is God calling me to? How is he calling me to give myself within the community and church?”
Today’s reading is from the book of Romans. In these short phrases the Apostle Paul gives us three powerful postures towards our life and obedience: 1. Courage over Shame. 2. Identity before Doing 3. Hope over Despair.
Today’s reading comes from Ephesians 3:14-21 and is one of the Apostle Paul’s prayers we find for the church. Here we hear him pleading for God to give us an ability to see the vastness of God’s love in all its directions and dimensions.
Today’s reading is Ephesians 4:1-16. Read this passage and underline the words that stick out to you as you read through the lens of leading Christians toward the gospel in formation, community, and mission. Take notes.
On our family's recent vacation, we went to a clear mountain lake in the MT Hood National Forest, properly called, Frog Lake. It's a lake I had been to multiple times when I lived there to go snow showing in the winter months.
