Read Proverbs 4:23 and Jeremiah 17:5-9.
Q: Take stock of your emotions and desires. Where are they pointed? What are your longings? Where are they turned? What does it say about what you love?
Q: Where are you these days? Desert Shurb or Thriving Tree?
Read Jeremiah 29:10-14
In this passage God intimates a heart renewal and healing. His kindness leads to a calling out. His presence leads to seeking and belief. He restores fortunes.
Q: What does it mean for you heart that God’s desires is for your thriving (like a tree by a stream) and for hope? How does that compare to the other things your heart loves.
