As stay-at-home orders, lockdowns, and rumors of more restrictions become our reality, we want to encourage the Body to not only seek safety ourselves, but love others around us.
What if, through these stay-at-home restrictions, we saw the Spirit renew our hearts in gospel enjoyment an ignite a passion for those around us to be revived by the love of Jesus.
In your DNA group or with your spouse or roommate, consider processing these questions below. Watch the video below to hear this encouragement from the elders.
Read Hebrews 10:19-25 (15 Minutes)
What words or phrases stick out to you?
Where do you see the Good News about Jesus?
What phrases make you think about the 3 Commands of loving God, one-another, and neighbor
Loving God (15 MinuteS)
How will you draw near the presence of God with a sincere heart during these restrictions?
Loving One-Another (15 minutes)
Who, within the body can you bless in the next few weeks? Consider words of hope, encouragement, and grace that could bring life and help a sister or brother see the goodness of God?
What action, gift, physical service could spur another believer on to work and good deeds?
Loving Neighbor(15 Minutes)
Who can you check on? Who can you let know you care about them? Who can you reach out to, call, and simply talk? Often we take for granted the family of God, how can you extend the love of the church to those outside the church?
At work (even remotely), how can you encourage those who are struggling? What "care packages" could you send them? What words of encouragement could give them life? What words of Jesus could bring them hope?
In your neighborhood, who is at risk? Lonely? Or isolated? How can you let them know they are loved? How can you help meet their basic needs?
Pray for one another
Spend the rest of your time praying for each other and for obedience to the Spirit as you walk out the commitments you’ve made together.
